Old Oak Cottages are situated in a delightful rural location on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, boasting spectacular views across unspoilt countryside towards the White Horse of Kilburn.

This wonderful cluster of 8 cottages have been beautifully converted from Barns, Stables and an old Potato Store and retain many original features. Beaver, Fox, Owl, Squirrel, Mouse and Wren cottages are attractively arranged around a large landscaped courtyard.

 Pheasant and Badger are separated from the Courtyard Cottages by Gardens and Hedging. Each cottage offers the highest standards of comfort and design, and we ensure our standards of maintenance and housekeeping are of the highest level. There is exclusive use for our cottage guests of our superb INDOOR HEATED POOL, SPA BATH and SAUNA together with ALL WEATHER TENNIS COURT. This haven of relaxation is surrounded by the owners 400 acres of well kept farm land, walks and duck pond. Our cottages are extremely well situated for visiting all that Yorkshire has to offer without having to drive too far - the list of things to do is endless - for a brief idea of where to visit and things to do in the area, have a look at our 'local information' page. There are many (up to date!) leaflets in all our cottages and we can always help you out with suggestions.

We are very fortunate to have many excellent restaurants and pubs within a short drive of the cottages, the nearest, 1.5 miles away (and one of our favourites!) is in the next village to us - The Carlton Inn, Carlton Husthwaite. On booking, guests are sent a very useful list of recommended places to eat out, which is helpful for pre-planning. We are more than happy to help with recommendations and make table reservations for you prior to your arrival or during your stay.

GETTING HERE.  Old Oak Cottages are very easily accessible - we are well situated for all major road networks - yet not too near as to spoil the wonderful surrounding countryside and views.

By Road - The main A1(M) and A19 are easily accessible - both about a 10 minute drive away.

By Rail - Trains direct to York and Thirsk from London (Kings Cross) the Midlands, the North and West.  (National Rail Enquiry Bureau 24hr service 0845 748 4950)
