We had the most amazing 4-night stay at the Owl Cottage. John and Amanda were super friendly. We also got a gorgeous welcome basket, which was a nice surprise. :) The cottage was so homely, beds super comfy, and the surroundings are beautiful. John and Amanda have thought of everything for the children to play on. OMG, the swimming pool is amazing, and you get your own time slot to have it all to yourselves. Would highly recommend. Also, we loved feeding Grif the pony, Georgie the goat, and the chickens. Thanks again.

This is the third time we have stayed here; it’s a beautiful place. We love it here, and so will you. The cottages are of a high standard: clean, comfortable, and in a great location. There’s so much to do locally—you’ll never be bored. It’s definitely God’s Own County.

This was our second visit to Old Oak Cottages, and this time we had our daughter, her partner, and grandson with us. The larger cottage was very suitable and comfortable for us all, with marvellous views over the surrounding countryside. The location is excellent for exploring North Yorkshire, with supermarkets, etc., conveniently located in nearby Thirsk. We had a lovely week in peaceful surroundings, and grandson Robin enjoyed the play areas and swimming pool!

A lovely, comfortable, well-equipped cottage for a memorable and relaxing week in Yorkshire. This is our second stay—our first in Fox. Lovely views of the hills and the White Horse. Peaceful location, but not far from many places to visit. 30 minutes from York park-and-ride. Nunnington Hall and Beningbrough Hall are worth a visit. We really enjoyed our daily swim in the pool. Overall, a wonderful week's holiday. Thank you.
